A Landslide for Bushong

Lehigh by 4500
Robert Grey Bushong, of Reading, candidate for Congress, has made a favorable impression upon the Lehigh voters. Party lines will be broken to give a vote of confidence in President Coolidge and his policies.. "Judge" Bushong has openly pledged his support to the Coolidge administration. The City of Allentown has a Republican registration lead over the Democrats of more than 2,000, and for the first time rural Lehigh shows a Republican lead. It is predicted with safety that at least 2,000 Lehigh Democrats will vote for Bushong for Congress on account ,of their faith in President Coolidge. They realize the fact that nothing can be gained by sending a democrat to Washington as long as Coolidge is in power. President Coolidge made good his promises, and why not help him to continue his good work? That's the sensible way of looking at things, and that's why Lehigh county has started, several years ago to break party lines. A conservative guess at Bushong's majority in Lehigh is put at 4,500.

Reading By 3,000
Robert Grey Bushong Reading "I feel very confident of my election, and I want to take this opportunity to thank all the voters who will place their trust in me when they cast their ballots. My promise to them is that I will not give any cause for regrets. I want to renew my pledge to the policies of economy which President Coolidge has so faithfully carried out, and I believe that the people, irrespective of political parties, will see the wisdom of giving Coolidge the backing he surely deserves." This statement was issued by "Judge" Bushong this morning at his home on a farm in South Heidelberg township. Those in charge of his campaign say that Bushong will carry Reading by upwards of 3,000. Mr. Bushong's vote in Berks outside Reading will be very heavy, for he made a host of friends when he served the people as Judge of the Orphans' Court of Berks County. Then he knew no party lines, and if elected to Congress it is believed that he will serve the best interests of the people just as he did while sitting as a judge on the bench. In 1924 the voters of Berks county gave Coolidge a majority of 11,000, and Coolidge carried out every promise, so that's the best reason why the voters tomorrow will renew their faith in Coolidge by voting for Robert Grey Bushong for Congress.

FACTS ABOUT VOTING

1. If you want to; vote a straight party ticket, mark a cross (X) back of your party column. That will vote all the candidates of your party.
2. For example, if you are a Democrat and want to vote all the Democratic candidates with the exception of Congress, where you want to vote for BUSHONG, only two crosses are necessary just like this: Mark a cross (X) in the Democratic party column, and then mark another cross (X) back of the name of ROBERT GREY BUSHONG. Two crosses that's all. Such a ballot will vote all the Democratic candidates, but for Congress, where the vote will be counted for BUSHONG.
3. If any voter wants to split his ticket he can mark a cross (X) back of the name of each candidate he wants to vote for, and then no party cross (X) is necessary.
4. Remember, every voter will receive the same kind of ballot. There are no separate Republican or Democratic or Socialist ballots as are used at a primary election. When you go to your polling place you need not mention your politics. You merely give your name. Democrats may vote for Republicans, and Republicans, may vote for Democrats or Socialists, and no one will know the difference.

THE GENERAL ELECTION IS STRICTLY A SECRET - BALLOT ELECTION. Come out and vote, and be sure to Mark a cross [X] Back of Bushong's Name for Congress.
