New Webmaster needed for the 2006 Crockett Bocce Website! We've finally moved to Belize and after five years of running the Crockett Bocce Website, I will not be able to update it. The site is currently about 13 megs, but could be reduced, and after annual maintenance, it only takes a few minutes of "HTML" coding a week. See them on this website or download and print them out! The 2004 Play Offs, League Dinner and Awards Presentations are coming up! September 22, 2004, is the Bocce League's potluck dinner and final playoff games. This year Division A teams bring a desert and a salad. Division B teams bring a hot main dish. Dinner will begin at 5:30 PM so that the teams playing that evening will have time to eat. Please tell your team members about the dinner. Each team should bring enough to feed one team. The league will provide the drinks, barbecued Italian sausages, plates, utensils, etc. Awards for the top three teams in each division will be presented during dinner. The awards for the top teams in the leagues will be presented after the games have concluded. So come out and enjoy the dinner and games! New 2004 Schedule The 2004 Bocce schedule is out! See them on this website or download and print them out! Portable Bocce Courts There is a great new product available - Portable Bocce Courts. Check out their website at www.BackYardBocce.com ! New Players Two people are waiting for teams. Contact Ron Wilson. Also the Guest Book has a player looking for a team. Email your team photos and update your team's page! Captains Meeting The Captains Meeting is March 31 at 7:00 PM, in the Community Center Multi-Purpose Room. Contra Costa County Bocce Championships The Martinez Bocce Federation will host this years championships on October 19th. Their courts are located in Waterfront Park, Martinez. Access to the park is from Ferry St. After crossing the railroad tracks, turn right. There are signs to the courts, and they will be on the left. Teams and officials must sign in at 8:00 AM and play begins at 8:30 AM. Lunch is provided for players and officials. Non players will be able to purchase lunch at a reasonable price (the price hasn't been set yet, but the $6.00 range was mentioned). Let's get some Crockett spectators out there to cheer on the two Crockett teams. Thanks Ron Wilson September 18, 2002, is the Crockett Bocce League's Big Night! Beginning with a Potluck Dinner followed by the League Championship Game and the 2002 Bocce Trophies Presentation. In the Community Center, dinner will begin at 5:30 PM, after which, focus will shift to the Alexander Bocce Courts, to watch Crockett's TWO BEST BOCCE TEAMS battle it out for the 2002 League Championship Honors!
Division Awards for top three teams will be presented during dinner. The League Awards for the top four teams in the league will be presented after the games have concluded. Please tell your team members about the dinner and If you have any questions or concerns, please contact either John Valentini or Ron Wilson. Now available email News Bulletin, The Joy of Bocce Weekly. It discusses bocce issues from around the country. Any one wanting to get on the mail list, send your email address to author@joyofbocce.com. Be sure and mention the news letter in the email. Mario Pagnoni Author, The Joy of Bocce September 19, 2001 Dinner begins at 5:30 PM. Teams from the A Division (Teams 1-16) bring a hot (main) dish, and Teams form the B Division (Teams 17-32) bring salads and dessert. Teams should bring enough to feed one team. The bocce league will provide the utensils, paper plates, etc., and the drinks (beer, wine, sodas, coffee). Awards will be given to the top three teams in each division during dinner. Sometime around 6:30 the final playoff games will start. After the games have been completed, awards will be given to each of the four teams. That is usually around 9:00 PM. Then the 2001 season is history..... By the looks of some of you out there, you are in dire need of bocce lessons! I will give lessons for Bacardi in lieu of pay.
