John's parent's Kentucky home. William and Elizabeth with their seven children.
Captioned: Home of William Davis and Elizabeth White Bushong, located in Metcalfe County, Kentucky, about four miles Southeast of Summer Shade, Kentucky and one mile West of Cyclone and about 1000 feet North of the Monroe County line. In this much faded photograph, he can be seen standing near the door and she in a chair in the doorway. Their five sons and two daughters are standing on the "gallery" according to age. From left to right: Perry Wickliffe, George Thomas, Elizabeth Crayton, William Davis, Jr. (Dee), Simeon Jordan, Sallie Camilla and John Tolbert. Circa 1895.
Note: in the photograph, William is now no more than a shadow and Elizabeth can't be seen.
