This woman in the photo is probably Maria, who also went by Mariah Bushong who married Samuel Detwiler. It was an unidentified photograph from an album that belonged to Joseph H. Bushong and his wife, Annie Beardsley. From it photographs have been identified as George Bushong, and wife, Lydia Rush, their son James S. Bushong, his wife and four of his children. It is probable that this image of Joseph's was his aunt, Maria. Looking at the comparison with her proposed brother, James the similarity is striking. By thouroughly being charted, all of James' other sisters, can be ruled out. The photo was taken, about 1860 to 1865 and Maria was born in 1837. Guessing, the woman looks to be about 24 years old, so the date of 1861 fits in the date range.
