Dr. Roy Edwin Bushong, 1886-1967, husband of first Alda Entsminger, 1883-1918
and second Helen Rose Wagner, 1902-1995.
Dr. Bushong was an attending psychiatrist at the Athens State Hospital and Asylum, in Ohio. Dr. Roy E. Bushong served as one of four assistant physicians under Superintendent O. O. Fordyce from 1912 to 1919. He married E. Alda Entsminger, a nurse at the Athens State Hospital, in late 1912. She resigned in May of the following year. Roy Bushong went on to become the head of the laboratory at the Toledo State Hospital in the 1920s and superintendent of the Lima State Hospital for Criminal Insane in the 1930s and 1940s.

In the photograph, he is identified as Dr. R. E. Bushong, standing second from left. Two others identified are Dr. Bert Shoemaker third from left and Dr. Freeman Osborne forth from the left.
